Sandra M. Spector, Esq.
Experience & Dedication
I have been admitted to practice since January, 2002 and began my career as a law clerk while still in law school for a firm located in Queens County. In 2010 I opened my own firm in Long Island and have been primarily practicing Divorce, Family law and Residential Real Estate since that time. I have done everything from trying intense custody disputes to handling detailed litigation involving the distribution of large and complicated marital estates, to negotiating settlement agreements and mediating disputes.
A Compassionate, Client Centered Approach
Unlike large law firms, where a senior partner meets with a client at the initial consultation only to assign the case to an overworked associate as soon as the reatiner fee is paid, I handle all aspects of my clients cases from beginning to end.
When people hire an attorney, they are usually experiencing extreme stress and turmoil. When they hire a matrimonial attorney, they may be afraid of for their children, their financial security and their future. Clients need someone who will take the time to address their specific needs and not simply go through the motions. For that reason, I make sure my clients not only receive high-quality legal services, but also the reassurance and regular contact that they deserve.
What Makes My Firm Different
I understand that being a good advocate for my clients requires more than just good legal manuevering and that however tedious the legal issues involved in a case may be, my job is really about the people I represent.
Clients often seek my representation when they are in distress and they need the help of someone who will treat them with respect and patiently guide them through the process.
Unlike many other attorneys, I do not see my clients as faceless customers, or reference numbers on a billing sheet. I see them as people, just like me. Because of this, I find that I am able to better serve their interests. In fact, nearly all of my clients are referred to me by prior clients. I believe that speaks volumes.
