Sandra M. Spector focuses her practice in the areas of matrimonial and family law.  She handles all aspects of divorce litigation including but not limited to child custody and visitation, child support, maintenance (spousal support), equitable distribution, and counsel fee applications. She also handles uncontested matrimonial matters, pre and post nuptial agreements, orders of protection, relocation proceedings, and modifications of court Orders and Agreements. Ms. Spector handles complex matters in the Supreme Court including high net worth cases and provides advice for potential clients who just want to understand what their options are.

Prior to opening her own practice in January, 2010, Ms. Spector worked for a law firm in Great Neck for over ten years where she was able to handle all aspects of litigation, from the initial consultation to negotiating and drafting comprehensive
settlement agreements, to preparing for and conducting trials.

Ms. Spector earned her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law in 2001, and her B.A. in political science at Hofstra University in 1998, receiving merit scholarships toward both degrees. She is admitted to practice in New York, and is registered to practice in both the Federal and State Courts.

Ms. Spector frequently handles matters in Suffolk and Nassau Counties as well as the five boroughs of New York City. She is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, Matrimonial Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association, and the Queens County Bar Association.  

Ms. Spector is married with two children and resides in Nassau County.
